Thursday 18th May - walks **** Landguard Nature Reserve Circuit and Prom
stroll - sunny and warm.
With Maeva coming to ours for the day Mag and I decided to head down to
Landguard for a walk arriving just before 7, again a lovely day here on the
coast at Felixstowe, sunny, mils with light winds. It was perfect walking
conditions as we set off through the blackberry bushes with rabbits
everywhere. We turn to the dock view point and with the tide low we walk
along the beach all the way to the old pier at the end with a few ships and
boats out on the River Orwell. Then back along the long sandy beach with
the sun glistening on the sea getting several nice pics and for the second
day running was lucky enough to get one on Chris Pages local weather
report:) Out just over an hour we then head to Lidl so Mag can buy two
small fruit trees, an apple and a pear at a bargain price and home to spend
the day with Maeva and Jay with our son Dan coming for dinner. As it was
Jays Birthday yesterday, we enjoyed a yummy cheesecake to celebrate. We
also had a nice walk along Felixstowe prom to The Fludyers enjoying the
warm sunshine, so that?s a little over 4 miles walked today!
PS - was surprised to get another pic of Landguard beach on during About
Anglia - been a good day:)
